August 10, 2025 – The St. Candida Pastoral Center in Fourth Estate, Parañaque City joyfully celebrated the feast of St. Candida Maria de Jesus, founder of the Hijas de Jesus, whose apostolic mission is dedicated to the education of children and youth. 

The celebration began with a Eucharistic Mass presided over by Fr. John Paul Frias, who emphasized the importance of cultivating an intimate relationship with Jesus in order to grow in faith. He highlighted the need to become authentic disciples through the “3 Es”: Equip, Encourage, and Entrust—a message that closely reflects the teachings of St. Candida. 

Following the Mass, a short program featured lively cultural presentations, including a folk dance by the BEC mothers and an interpretative dance by the children of St. Candida. The festivities continued with fun games, bringing joy and laughter to the community. 

Mr. Ariel Cañete, the outreach coordinator, expressed his heartfelt thanks to all who joined the celebration, especially the members of the two adopted communities in Fourth Estate—Lupang Hinirang and Area 7. He also extended his gratitude to the generous sponsors who provided food, drinks, and prizes. 

The celebration was a meaningful expression of community spirit and a testament to the continuing presence of St. Candida’s charism and mission among the people.
