Let the children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. — Matthew 19:14
Manresa School recently celebrated a meaningful series of faith-forming events for the Grade 3 pupils. The journey began with a recollection for pupils and their parents on November 16, 2025, which was facilitated by the CLE Teachers and the Pastoral Ministry Team. This spiritual gathering provided families with a reflective space that strengthened their connection with God and with one another, preparing the children’s hearts for the sacraments that followed. On November 19, 2025, the pupils received their First Confession at the Manresa School Chapel, where they approached the Sacrament of Reconciliation with sincerity and reverence as they learned about forgiveness, humility, and God’s mercy.
The celebration continued with the First Holy Communion on November 23, 2025, held at the Manresa School Gym. The Mass was presided over by Rev. Msgr. Melchor David as the Main Celebrant, together with Rev. Fr. John Paul Frias as Concelebrant. Accompanied by their parents, Grade School teachers, staff, Administrators, and the F.I. Sisters, the pupils participated in a solemn and joy-filled Eucharistic celebration where they received Jesus in the Holy Eucharist for the first time. This sacred moment deepened their sense of belonging in the Church and marked an important milestone in their spiritual journey.
As these Grade 3 pupils moved forward in faith and character, Manresa School remained steadfast in its mission to nurture their hearts, minds, and spirits. May these meaningful experiences continue to inspire them to live out the teachings of Christ with love, gratitude, and purpose.
