Faith, Renewal, and New Beginnings- School Community Holds Advent Recollection and Blessing of the Newly Renovated Auditorium

The faculty and staff gathered last December 6, 2025, for the Advent Recollection held at the Main AVR, with Fr. Firmo Bargayo, SJ serving as the recollection facilitator. In his heartfelt message, Fr. Bargayo reminded everyone that in life, plans do not always unfold the way we expect—but these moments of uncertainty often reveal God’s deeper purpose. He encouraged the community to embrace patience, trust, and openness, especially when life feels unpredictable, for God’s plan is always greater, wiser, and perfectly timed.

After the recollection, the school community proceeded to the Holy Mass at the MS Chapel, celebrated by Fr. Albert Garong. The Mass coincided with the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception and the 154th Founding Anniversary of the Hijas de Jesus Congregation, enriching the celebration with reflection, gratitude, and a renewed sense of mission. It became a moment for faculty and staff to anchor themselves in faith once again as the Advent season continued.

The celebration concluded with the Blessing of the Newly Renovated Auditorium, a much-anticipated highlight for the entire school. The refreshed and modernized space now brighter, more welcoming, and fully equipped, marks an exciting milestone for Manresa School, committed to nurturing holistic and faith-filled learning. The blessing symbolized not just a physical renewal but also the school’s enduring dedication to providing spaces that inspire growth, collaboration, and hope for the years ahead

In this season of waiting and renewal, the school moves forward with trust in God’s plan and joy for the new beginnings ahead.
