Sealed with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit: Manresa School Grade 9 Confirmation
FEB 21
February 21, 2026, was a day of profound praise, gratitude and spiritual milestone as 157 Grade 9 Manresan students and two teachers received the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Resurrection of Our Lord Parish in BF Homes, Parañaque City.
The Holy Eucharist started at 8:15 in the morning with the processional. It was presided over by His Excellency, Bishop Emeritus Rolando C. Santos, CM, D.D., alongside Parish Priest Msgr. Melchor David. In his moving homily, Bishop Santos offered the confirmands three powerful reminders: to seek inner silence, amidst the noisy world, to hear clearly the Holy Spirit, to view Confirmation not as a "graduation" but as the beginning of a mature Christian life as active witnesses for Christ, and to intentionally live out the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
As Bishop Santos administered the solemn rite and sealing each student with the Holy Spirit, the Church was filled with beautiful songs and the atmosphere with fervent prayers by the Manresa School educative community.
The newly confirmed Manresans were applauded and challenged to be more than followers -- as ambassadors of Christ. Strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the school-community continuously pray that the confirmands navigate the world with wisdom, courage and God’s grace, forever embodying the maxim: Tatak Manresa, Kapatid sa Kapwa.
