A Jumpstart to Success: Preparing Young Manresans for the Next Level Through Reading
Learning never stops at Manresa School—even beyond the regular school year!
Guided by its commitment to nurturing confident, competent, and lifelong learners, the Grade School Reading Area successfully concluded the Academic Jumpstart in Reading: Readiness for the Next Level Program on June 5, 2026.
Designed for incoming Grade 1 and Grade 2 pupils, the program provided young Manresans with meaningful opportunities to strengthen their foundational reading skills and prepare for the academic challenges of the next grade level. Through engaging and carefully planned activities, pupils developed essential literacy skills, increased their reading confidence, and cultivated greater independence as learners.
The program also served as a valuable intervention in bridging learning gaps and reinforcing positive reading habits through both school-based and home-based activities. By offering targeted support and guided practice, the Academic Jumpstart in Reading Program helped ensure that every participant was equipped with the tools needed for continued success in their reading journey.
As the program culminated, the pupils demonstrated remarkable growth, enthusiasm, and readiness for the year ahead. Through initiatives such as this, Manresa School remains steadfast in its mission of empowering learners to become confident readers, critical thinkers, and compassionate individuals who embody the values of Tatak Manresa.
