Curiosity Ignites Discovery: Grade 6 Students Deepen Their Research Skills During the Science Enrichment Session

Curiosity is the driving force behind every discovery. It inspires us to ask questions, seek answers, and explore the world around us. On July 15, 2026, the Grade 6 students participated in the Science Research Enrichment Session with the theme, "Explore. Enrich. Excel." This meaningful activity deepened the students' understanding of the importance of research and Science Investigatory Projects (SIPs), encouraging them to appreciate the value of inquiry and critical thinking.

To broaden the students' knowledge, the school invited two distinguished resource speakers, Mr. Nikko Jesoro and Ms. Abbygale Gonzales, to share their expertise and experiences in the field of research. Sir Nikko emphasized that every meaningful research project begins with curiosity. He explained that through a Science Investigatory Project (SIP), students can gather first-hand evidence by asking meaningful questions, conducting careful investigations, and documenting accurate observations.

Meanwhile, Ms. Abbygale guided the students through the proper research process. She discussed the step-by-step approach to developing a strong and relevant research topic, providing valuable insights that will help students in their future research endeavors.

As the Grade 6 students prepare for their upcoming Science Investigatory Projects, may the knowledge and inspiration shared by the resource speakers continue to guide them. May curiosity fuel their passion for learning, creativity inspire innovative ideas, and perseverance lead them toward meaningful discoveries. After all, a scientist is not someone who knows all the answers; rather, a scientist is someone who is curious enough to ask the right questions.
