Manresa School Warmly Welcomes Sr. Maria Rosa Espinosa, FI, 2nd General Counselor of Hijas De Jesus Congregation

On October 23, 2026, the Manresa School community gathered with joyful and thankful hearts to welcome Sr. Maria Rosa Espinosa, FI, during her special fraternal visit to the school as part of her tour of the local formation houses.

The visit was marked by a festive and heartfelt welcoming program prepared by the faculty, staff, and student leaders. A central highlight of the program was Sr. Maria Rosa’s address to the community. Delivering her speech in Spanish, her uplifting words were thoughtfully translated for the audience by Sr. Normida Marquez, FI, the school's RCA. Her message reminded the Manresan family of the shared mission, apostolic zeal, and enduring values of St. Cándida María de Jesús that unite the Hijas de Jesus network worldwide.

Demonstrating the creative spirit of the school, members of the faculty performed an energetic dance intermission number, bringing smiles and applause from the audience. Following the performance, student leaders representing the Grade School to Senior High School department and representative of teachers and staff (MSFSO) formally extended their warm greetings, presenting Sr. Maria Rosa with token gifts as simple expressions of love, respect, and hospitality on behalf of the entire Manresa educative community.

Manresa School remains profoundly grateful for Sr. Maria Rosa’s visit, a gentle reminder of the global brotherhood and sisterhood that continues to nurture and guide the school’s mission of holistic Catholic education.
